Lawrence Charles Beauchaine

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Lawrence C. Beauchaine, 86, of Ormond Beach, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL. Interment will follow in Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach. A Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday September 10, 2009 in the Ormond Beach Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Homes, 548 N. Nova Rd. Lawrence C. Beauchaine was born on March 1, 1923 in Munising, MI, son of the late Joseph and Anna (LaFave) Beauchaine. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. In 1968 he moved to the Ormond Beach area from Michigan. He retired as Owner/Operator (Master Watchmaker and Jeweler) of "Jewelers Service" (Mason Avenue) in Daytona Beach, FL. He was very passionate about his work and enjoyed boxing. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce in 2000, whom he married in 1942. He is also predeceased by his brother, William and sister, Catherine Christ. Survivors include his daughter, Lawrene Bishop (William), Ormond Beach, FL; a son, James Beauchaine (Cindy), Ormond Beach, FL; one brother, Dave, Munising, MI; six grandchildren, Deborah Norwood, Ormond Beach, FL, Lisa Lehman (Daniel), Ormond Beach, FL, William Bishop (Cassandra), Westland, MI, Tracey Buquet (Shannon), Houma, LA, Larry Beauchaine (Shirley), Jackson, MS, and Andrea Beauchaine, Ormond Beach, FL; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. Memorial Donations may be made in his name to The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 84, 605 8th Street, Holly Hill, FL 32117.
