Not sure what to say?

Loved him so much I took three courses in a row with him. I learned so much. He was a passionate Professor. I became a Professor of psychology myself and tried to emulate his casual yet engaging teaching style. May he rest in peace wherever that may be!

We had a great time playing softball together a couple of times we were roommate, good friends rest in peace, my friend

Larry and I room together and a couple softball tournaments. What a great guy. Sorry I didn´t know that he had passed.

Larry meant so much to me. The time I spent in his classroom and as his researcher was among the most rewarding of my life. When the annual Christmas card didn't arrive, I should have known something was wrong, but not this. I am so sorry he is no longer in the world.

Larry was my best man at our wedding way back in August 1958. We had been conversing,(We live in NJ) and were discussing a trip to Paris this summer, one of Larry's favorite places. We had agreed to discuss it once the new year arrived. Accordingly, I called a few days ago and no one called back. This is profoundly emotionally devastating to my wife and me. I can honestly say --You were a good man Lar, rest in peace.

I recently learned of the passing of my cousin Larry. He was a few years older than I, and although we grew up thousands of miles apart we had a special bond. When he left for FSU he would always have time for me on spring and summer breaks. I will miss him for the rest of my life. Rest in Peace, Larry! Frank.

The Officers and Board of ThUSFar , the Association for Retired Faculty and Staff of the University of South Florida wish to extend condolences to the family of Dr. Lawrence R. Broer on his passing . We also want to recognize his active work in English literature research and many publications in those research areas . Richard E Dutton PhD., For the Board .

Am saddened to hear of LBs passing, he had a deep and positive influence on my life, my love for literature yes, but also how another's take on our world can help us shape our own point of view. "What's the author trying to tell us here?" I'm glad to have known him.

Dr.Broer, with the greatest of sadness we´ve lost such a fine gentleman, kind, smart as a whip and generous with his time and knowledge. An athlete until his passing, Larry still possessed the legs of an elite athlete making him appear decades younger. No matter what you were thinking or trying to communicate Larry could put it into exactly the right words for you. His love of family as a given and his love of Carrollwood Village had no bounds. Dr. Broer you are missed greatly already
