Lawrence Callaghan

Larry and I were law partners in the 1990s and had adjacent offices in 101 California. Every afternoon around 3 pm, Larry would come into my office to smoke our pipes (tobacco) and discuss poetry or cases. Larry was fun, generous, and kind. My heart felt condolences to his family.

Larry and I were law school classmates at Hastings. Although we disagreed at times about politics, we always had thoughtful debates and ,moreover, many stimulating conversations about a breadth and depth of interests. In addition to the law, we shared our Irish ancestries and a love of poetry and literature, particularly T.S. Eliot. Larry could recite most of "The Love Song of J.
