Not sure what to say?

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this month and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Lawrence S. Colton US Army Chief Warrant Officer.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is...

"Mr. Colton - to me, Shane and “Pac Man” - thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice for the soldiers in contact on the ground. I remember fondly our time serving together in 2002 in Korea in the Bushwhackers. God bless you and rest in peace."

Remembering you and the sacrifices you've made for your family and country.
Thank you Sir.

CW2 Colton was a extraordinary individual. I had the pleasure of serving with him and was deployed with him in 2004. CW2 and I also attended Tar Kwon Do classes in Korea and I will never forget those words he spoke to me, "I'm not good at this am I?" I said "it's all about having fun and enjoying yourself." I often think about him and how much I miss his warm smile.

To the family and loved ones of Shane Colton. First, I want to start by saying that I am deeply sorry for your loss. Shane was an extremely brave Soldier and pilot that I will never forget. I have worn a silver bracelet on my right wrist everyday for the past eleven years. On the bracelet is Shane and Chucks name and the date they died for our country. You see, I was the flight medic that was on the ground loading the wounded Soldiers from that ambushed fuel convoy into my MEDEVAC blackhawk....

Still remembered, respected and honored.

To the family and friends of CWO Lawrence S. Colton:
Always remembering Lawrence. "Some gave all."

The flag is flying in the sky
A daily reminder of who and why
We sit here remembering them today
These heroes that now lie in their grave.

While here on earth, the bravest ones
A soldier, a mother, a daughter, a son
The father's who went far off to war
To ensure our safety and so much more

To keep our children happy and free,
Someone must do this job, you see
So, today remember the soldiers who served,
Because this is one...

I am so sorry that your family had to lose a loved one so young. I didn't get to meet Shane, but from what I've been told he was a great man. I would like to have known him. I am sorry for the pain you all go through every day from this loss. Just remember the times you had with him and smile.
