Not sure what to say?

Dear Family & Friends of Fr. Laurie:
The years have passed yet Fr. Laurie remains imprinted in my memory, and no doubt for many others the same.
Fr. Laurie married Laura and me in 1992 and without him my "straight and narrow" would have been rather crooked and wide LOL.
A wonderful Man and one of a kind.
Cheers from Kingston ON (formerly at Canadian Marturs Parish, Ottawa),

To all the Conlon family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. Father Laurie was a great friend of my Uncles, Fathers John and DD Macdonald. His niece Shelagh (Regan) Horton and I shared a nursing position at Trillium Health Center in Mississauga. We had great fun swapping stories of our priest uncles whom we loved very much. Father Laurie was a comforting presence for me when my Uncle DD died in 2006. There has been a great reunion in heaven I'm sure.
Anne (O'Brien) Desbarats,...

Sincerest condolences to Carol and Cleve. Father Laurie was a wonderful friend and confidant to us for almost sixty years. He married us, baptized some of our children, and later married some of them. His love of music made him a joy to have as a guest in our home: it brought us together for concerts at the National Arts Centre for many years. Our famliy will miss him for his outstanding kindness and sense of humor.

Father Laurie touched our lives when we were a young couple living in Labrador City.We have always had very warm memories of him and we will continue to hold a special place for him in our hearts.

Sorry to hear of Father Laurie's passing. He was a very special part of my childhood growing up in Labrador City, especially when my Aunt Peg worked at the Church. He was a very good friend to my parents and will be remembered fondly. His smile, sense of humour and kindness were truly amazing.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your brother and uncle. Father Conlon was a great help/ friend to my mother when we were younger and living in Ottawa. I also came to appreciate him as a loving and thoughtful man who did not judge you due to life's circumstances. When no one else would, he baptized my two sons in a private ceremony, I will always be greateful to him for that.
May your fond memories keep him close to your heart. I'm sure he will be...

I still have the statue of Joseph that Father Laurie gave me when I was a child, many years ago. He told me that it was a statue of the "patron Saint of little brats." I will never forget you Father Laurie!

Our condolences to Father Laurie's family and friends. We have many wonderful memories of our friendship in Labrador City during the 1970s.

I remember Fr. Conlon when I was a student at St Joseph's Intermediate school on Wilbrod.. He used to walk down from the church to play baseball with all of us in the school yard at lunch time (1950 - 55) great memories of a wonderful priest who really enjoyed making us all laught with his baseball antics.
