Not sure what to say?

I first met Dr. Crane when in fourth grade I had a sledding accident at night and my mother called Larry to meet us at Maine Med. He was willing to let me watch him stitch up my leg until I kept moving to look around his arm and I had to lay down! He also got to set my broken leg in sixth grade. I have fond memories of the Crane home on Dean's Way when there with Julia. He always had a smile for you, whether you encountered him in the office or out and about. He will be missed, he was...

I will always remember the excitement Larry took in showing me the betamax tapes of his arthroscopy procedures, the chores we did around Deans Way, the boating at Marco, and his kind guidance and advice. I am glad you were part of my life.

Doctor Crane successfully repaired my ski induced, radial fracture of the tibia 48 years ago. Years later i helped him invent the "Big Bend stitcher" which went on to be manufactured by Accufex. He was always looking for the better way and stayed on the leading edge of his field.

Another from the 'Greatest Generation' in God's care.
Thank you for your service.

What an excellent life he led. He will be missed by many I'm sure

What a kind and gentle man. Over 50 years ago, Dr. Crane performed a then relatively new procedure that has allowed me to live a life free of disability and limitations. I recall how he put me and my parents at ease over the many months of recovery. I will be forever thankful for him coming into our lives and am so sorry to hear about his passing. I am so fortunate thanks to him, but you his children, are so fortunate to have had him all these years. I am so sorry for your loss.

Our sincere sympathy to the family. Larry was such a great friend to our Dad for so many years (at MMC, skiing, playing tennis, sailing, at Piper Shores, or simply having lunch together).

What an accomplished, warm, bright soul - and a wonderful long life. Very happy I got to meet him so many years ago. Condolences and prayers to you, Charlie, and to your family. Hugs, Lorraine
