Lawrence Allen "Larry" Dean

We remember Larry and Jo from our time in the Ptarmigan mountaineering club. They were such a nice couple and we enjoyed spending time with them. One of our favorite memories of Larry was after he retired. He and Jo went to Sunriver for a month. When they returned he had not shaved or had a haircut. The guys had a good time teasing him because he was always such a clean cut guy. We were so happy they had a relaxing month in such a beautiful place. Our condolences to the family. Bill...

I am so sorry to hear that Larry passed. He was a great guy. We had one thing in common that many don't share. He and I both drove tractors pulling combines in the Palouse hills. I wish I had known him better.

Larry was BPA's "go to" power manager. He knew "river operations" and was relied on by all. When there was a disagreement, we "called Larry" who settled the matter.
