Not sure what to say?

Larry had warm eyes and a real smile. Only in his past few years did I get to meet him, and then not too often. Even so, he always greeted me like an old friend. He was a wonderful conversationalist and very quiet about his dossier of impressive life accomplishments and endeavors. He was a teaser as. jokester. It is very easy to see how his genuine kindness and robust and gentle disposition was so strong. He gave that to his daughter, Melita, who, with Mike, provided a lovely home for Larry's...

Dr. DeBellis was a salient figure in my life. Possessing extraordinary intelligence, compassion, depth and understanding, he served as my boss, tutor, mentor, and friend during the course of nearly 40 years. Larry will remain close to me in memory as he was in life. To his family, I express pride in knowing him, as well as the privilege of being able to share my memories with them. May God sustain them at this time.

Uncle Larry will be sadly missed! I will always remember the fun we had when you were young! Uncle "Larry". Great man! Father & husband!!! Class act! God Bless! My heart felt sympathy! Always in my heart!!!

He was one of the few people I can say, always had a kind word, remembers instances with you (not always your name though) and really cared for his students and the school system. I wish there were more like him, but there never will be! I will always remember him fondly! RIP

My memories of Dr. "D" begin with the overnights we had Laurie and the Meatballs your Mom made for dinner. He never had much to say but you always knew what he would be thinking. My Dad loved the secretary and custodian parties he always cooked for at Windward. He hired me for my teaching career. May all the shared memories of your Dad help you through this difficult time. Doc was loved and will be remembered. With my deepest sympathy

Our thoughts and prayers to the DeBellis Family, especially Charlie & Janet and Pauline & Vince.

I have so many wonderful memories of Dr. DeBellis. He gave me my start professionally and was a great friend. Doc's obit brings back so many memories from Ocean Road School to the trip we took together to California. God Bless. RIP. Ed Leibfried

Doc cared. That really says it all. His family, his staff, his school children knew he cared and that made all the difference.
