DYER, Lawrence C. (Larry / Chuck) - Of Flushing, age 67, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 10a.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.Visitation 3 - 8p.m. Thursday and 9a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Larry was born in Jackson, Michigan on August 18, 1943, son of the late Orvil and Wavel (Bruce) Dyer. He graduated from Beecher High School, Class of 1961. Larry was in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He then graduated from Mott Community College and helped start the Veteran's Club. On June 3, 1967, Larry married Margaret Disberry in Flint and they lived in Mundy Township for 31 years. Larry was employed with General Motors, retiring in 1994. Larry and Margaret also loved their home on Houghton Lake they had from 1989 to 2003. Among other things, Larry loved woodworking and fishing. Surviving are wife, Margaret of Flushing; sons, Lawrence R. and wife Wendy Dyer of Belding, MI and Gregory M. Dyer of Missouri; grandchildren, Lawrence D. Dyer and Miranda M. Dyer of Belding, MI; brother, Donald and wife Evelyn Dyer of Clio; brother-in-law, Alex and wife Sandy Disberry of Bradenton, Fl; sister-in-law, Diane Dyer. He was preceded in death by brother, Ron and sister, Geraldine (Dyer) Thompkins. Your condolences may be shared with the family at swartzfuneralhomeinc.com

I had lunch last week with Dawn, Kay and Margaret and we talked about you and the good times we remember at Beecher. I can remember us all going to camp together.
