Not sure what to say?

Great role model---Great man of God. You are sorely missed and I still think of you and your family often. You were a significant influence on my life and made it much richer and more fulfilling. R.I.P.

God bless all of you. You are forgiven! Praise be thy name!

My deepest sympathy to all of Durwood's family, and especially to my Lamar classmate, Jon Hugh Fleming and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and will follow you in the coming days and weeks. May you find comfort in many ways, and especially from his wonderful and long life. I know God will be close to all of you.

Marty and Lurlyn,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Durwood and Lurlyn have always represented what is best about this life. I am honored to have called him my pastor and my president and hopefully not out of line to call him my friend. My thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with all his family. We all share your sense of loss as well as your sense of gratitude for his life.

Some of my fondest memories of Durwood were when I attended Southwestern University in Georgetown. He and his wife were always two of the kindest people and always quick with a smile. Durwood would visit with you in the cafeteria or if you saw him on campus. I am glad that he lived a long productive life. God Bless You Durwood.

Dr. Jon Fleming and family - I was saddened to hear of your loss. Daddy Dur sounds like a wonderful and dear person who touched many lives in such a positive way.

I am so sorry for your loss. My mother and aunt still talk highly about you. My prayers are with you.
