Lawrence Howard Goldstein

Lawrence Howard Goldstein, 76, July 10, 2011 Tallahassee, Florida Lawrence Goldstein, loving husband, devoted father and grandfather age 76 passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011. He is survived by his wife Joyce of 55 years and son, Ron Goldstein (Barbara), daughter, Sharon Jacobs (Ken) and grandchildren Michael, Robert and Stephanie. Larry was born in Chicago IL where he was a successful businessman in several ventures which included drug sundries, closeout and import merchandise. He and his wife have been Florida residents since 1979. He enjoyed working with his son in an import hand tool wholesale business. His passion while living in the Tampa Bay area prior to moving to Tallahassee was working at the Tropicana Field and Legends Field keeping baseball fans happy by providing the beer and peanut vendors fully stocked to meet the needs of the fans .He served as a mentor to many with his vast business experience but preferred to work in the shadow of others. He was a modest man but very well respected by colleagues and customers alike. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, Florida 32308-5428 or Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa , FL 33612 Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday (July 13,2011) at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park 700 Timberlane Road.(850)893-4177
