I was a teacher at an elementary school in White Plains when Larry was in High School. Larry was an inspirational to all those young kids who saw him as a role model. He made a difference in lives even at that young age. It should bring a smile to our faces knowing he made the most of his days with us.

Thinking of Lawrence and of all the good he did in the world.

It's been one year since my dear friend Larry's untimely passing. I think about him all the time and mourn that he is not here to continue our lives together. My heart goes out each and every day to Pam and the kids; I know she is strong and Larry would be proud of her. Rest In Peace Larry. Miss you .

I just learned of Lawrence's death while watching the 2021 PEN America Awards. A segment of the award ceremony paid tribute to all writer who have passed within a year. Learning of his demise has truly sadden me since I am a fan of his work. It is my hope that what he has brought to us in writing will continue via theater, movies and television. The family has my deepest sympathy. May he rest in peace and may God's perpetual light shine on him.

I lived next to Larry in Chappaqua for a short period of time. The first time I met him he brought a pie over welcoming us to the neighborhood which was very thoughtful and kind. A few months later, as chance would have it, he was coming home late one night and noticed smoke coming from our house. We were miraculously awoken by his pounding on our front door, smoke already engulfing us and a fire that ultimately destroyed our house. He took us into his home that night, in shock and reeking...
