Lawrence S. Halpern

Professor Halpern was one of the most decent and caring people I have met. He was also the best professor I had at BC and will be missed.

I was looking for Professor Halpern's address to send my annual Christmas Card when I found this instead. Professor Halpern was the most impactful teacher I have ever had. Larry was my treasured friend since we roomed together at Columbia Business School. My wife, Rosalie, and I will cherish our memory of his keen intelligence, sense of humor, and decency forever. He added joy to our lives. Rosalie loved talking to him about teaching and his deep dedication to his students. We both admired his courage and his caring. We miss him greatly.

Whether as a colleague, student, employee or friend who was fortunate enough to have known Larry, we are all better people for having had him cross our paths.
