Lawrence R. Hans

Mr. L.R. Hans, 88, of Plantersville passed away Monday, September 3, 2012, at the Sheridan of Navasota. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stoneham with Deacon Walter Busa officiating. Rite of committal will follow in Plantersville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Lawrence was born on July 6, 1924, in Victoria, TX, the son of Raymond Hans and Sofie Bitterly. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and son, Lawrence R. Hans Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Wilma Hans of Plantersville; daughter-in-law, Cathy Hans of Carlos; grandchildren, Katie Hans, Jamie Jackson, Melissa Dover, and Lawrence Hans III; great grandchildren, Kaleb Thompson, Ja'mikal Thompson, Chasity Wheatfall, Jaylen Hans, Jason Gillard, Justin Gillard, Mo'nae Anderson, Kaylee Dover and Brady Dover. Serving as pallbearers are Garnett Mitchell of Kingwood, Billy Hyman of Plantersville, Leland Fougeron of Stoneham, Tom Wetuski of Plantersville, Casey Hans of Onalaska, Charles Noski of Plantersville and honorary pallbearers Kaleb Thompson, Ja'mikal Thompson, Justin Gillard and Jason Gillard.
