Not sure what to say?

Larry was a special friend. Our paths would have crossed a lot more had we not moved to Indiana when Marge and he returned to Chicago. He passed before my spouse and I moved back over five years ago. His vision of a better political system lives on in spite of the setbacks it has received since the 2016 election. We need to continue to hold on to and pursue that vision.

Dear Marge,
Please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of your husband, Larry. We heard he was a wonderful man. Take care.

My deepest sympathies. Larry was a fun guy and some of my fondest memories while working on Senator Stevenson's staff is due to his being there.

Deepest condolences from Illinois Issues. Larry was a good friend and wise counsel to the magazine. He will be sorely missed.

We were so sorry to hear of Lawrence's untimely death. Our most sincere condolences. We will always remember his marvelous sense of humor and wise perspective on life, and the good times we had together in McLean.

When I was an intern on Capitol Hill, he looked out for me. Years later, we reconnected with both of us in the nonprofit sector. Larry was doing great work at the Joyce Foundation, and I was a new arrival as President at the Chicago History Museum....
