Lawrence Johnson, a Hewlett Packard materials engineer, has died at age 89. He died on March 22, at peace in his home in Los Altos, with his children at his side, surrounded by the jazz music he loved.

We shared many professional memories and private memories in Los Altos Hills, Saratoga and Pajaro Dunes.
He will be in our heart...

My condolences to Larry's family.
On many occasions Larry helped me find the components and samples that I used in my HP designs and products. Larry took the time to connect engineers working with similar components and development tools. Larry also took the time to talk to me about his life and career and how to get "impossible" things to happen inside HP.
