Read MoreI was sorry this morning to hear of Larry's passing. He and Byron Roe hired me as a post doc straight out of MSU in 1974, and I have never regretted going to UM. My wife's great aunt Eunice Brake was one of the first residents of Glacier Hills when it opened, and we always enjoyed visiting her there, and she liked living there. He will be missed. Bob Ball

I had known Larry for over 60 years. ever since I was a grad student at Berkeley. He and Marty Perl were responsible for my coming to the UM. Larry collaborated on many experiments with me. Larry was always upbeat and supportive. He was one of the most generous persons I know. I will miss him.
