Larry and i grew up around the corner from each other. We had been friends for almost 70 years. We spent time together playing pick up sport games, fishing, and hanging out in each others homes. I attended his wedding to his former wife Dolly, and he was a groomsman in mine. Unfortunately we grew apart over the years as our lives paths changed, an occurrence I regret terribly. Our condolences to the Kelley family. Many years ago, Larry, as the Elks Exalted Ruler, asked me to become his Esquire ,which later placed me in the role of the Exalted Ruler. He is responsible for my involvement in many of the activities since then, at The Elks. Thank you for being persistent in my accepting the role It is and has been one of the best decisions I have made.
