Back in the mid 1980s when female sportswriters were a rarity, Larry made me feel like "one of the guys," in my visits to his office. Of course, we had a common bond being diehard Boston sports fans. He was always fun to be around, and I respected him immensely. I'm sorry for your loss.

Dear Family of Larry, Treasured my friendship with Larry thru our Blind Men & Criers organization. You were blessed with such an especially fine gentleman. Please know of my most respectful sentiments. Sincerely, Tony Kreuzer
