Not sure what to say?

I just read in the Row2k newsletter of Larrys last row at the Head of the Charles. In the late 1970s I was living in Pelham Manor and was a member of the NYAC. While running one Friday evening I fell and badly hurt an ankle that required me to go to the ER in New Rochelle where they x-rayed it and diagnosed a bad sprain. The following Monday I received a call from Dr. Klecatsky who apologized and informed me that the ankle was indeed broken. At the end of the conversation he said why dont you...

Tom & Cindy I'm sorry missed the obit of your brother and hope that you have the best memories of him.

Larry was my #1 rowing hero and when I met him in St Catherine's he was kind and funny and inspiring!

Dear Susan,

I just learned of Larry's passing . I was so sorry to hear that my friend of thirteen years, at sound shore has died. He was such a strong active guy I really thought he would live on for ever.
He left me with three ideals that I have used and shared with many.
Always call back the one that you least want to call
Always give them something to do when you call back
When working in the ER less is better

Our house was opposite his and I remember many years of his light being on at night while he studied. The Klecatsky's were a strong family unit dedicated to God, family, work, and fun. Much to be admired.
Prayers and condolences to his family.

Larry was the person we all looked up to in the neighborhood. Growing up on Summit Avenue in So. St. Paul was truly a wonderful childhood experience. We would watch Larry and his followers make big ski jumps in the ravine. Luckily everyone survived! It was his ingenuity and strong will that made it happen. The Klecatsky's were always part of our family and we did so many fun things together. He will be missed. He was a remarkable man.

My condolences to Larry and his family. I graduated with Larry, SSP class of 1959. I remember him as one of the more studious' classmates. I'm pretty sure we did not have any classes together as he was in all the hard classes! His life and great accomplishments speak for themselvesbecoming successful in all his life's passions. I was lucky to meet up with him and his wife at one of our high school reunions. I was so impressed with his becoming a medical doctor and the hard work and...
