Not sure what to say?

I was greatly saddened upon returning from my vacation to learn of Larry's death. I remember him so well in Judicial Conference days; I enjoyed his love of the ancestor of the Brooklyn Dodgers (I have forgotten the name) and of his cooking corned beef and cabbage at its headquarters on at least 2 occasions. I see Mike McEneny and am often reminded of those great old days. Larry and I were both 1923 guys and WWII vets. I know his memory will always be with me. Norman Goodman, County...

Dear Susan: I was so moved by the beautiful and true portrayal of Larry as I experienced him. I only wish I'd known more about him and his life during the time we actually worked together so I could have appreciated him more fully. My deepest condolences and sympathy go out to you. I can only imagine how much you'll miss his humor, wit, and companionship.

I had the great pleasure of working with Larry at State Parks. He always had a smile and always made me laugh. He was the consummate professional and a true gentleman. Ever the one to bring treats into the office, I'll always remember that he was the one who introduced his co-workers to "chocolate covered Oreos".

Having had the opportunity to work with Larry at State Parks was an honor and a pleasure. A true gentleman, scholar and compassionate soul that will be missed but always remembered.

A god send in your life, a quiet presence of great honesty and integrity, never one for conjecture or gossip. Well written, Susan, and full of the dignity you both impart to our lives. Love, E W
