LAWRENCE EDWARD McQUADE, age 87, passed away peacefully at Ames Family Hospice House on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Husband and true love of Colette for 65 years. Beloved father of Karen Weiner (Ken), Kevin (Marilyn), Kathie (best friend Jim), and Tom (Laura Lee). Cherished grandfather of Christine, Ian and Rory. He is survived by his sister Eileen (Mueller), and predeceased by his siblings Marshall, Lorraine (Bilek), Patricia (Forster), Ray and George. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Son of the late Edward and Irene (née Paquette), Larry was born in Grand Rapids Michigan on July 21, 1929. Always hard working and hard playing, Larry loved people and had a great sense of humor. He was outgoing, adventuresome, and full of life; generous and giving. Larry proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He will always be treasured. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 5, St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd.) at 10 A.M.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Ames Family Hospice House, 30080 Hospice Way, Westlake, OH  44145 would be appreciated.

Not sure what to say?

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. McQuade, but from the stories I've heard, and the photos I've seen, they all describe and show a wonderful man. One who loved his family and country. One who cherished his friends, and showed strength of conviction for what he believed in and loved. I sense he had a little bit of the joker in him too.(Kevin had to get his weird sense of humor from someone!) His smile alone is so infectious, and I bet his laughter was contagious too. I want to thank you...

Dearest Colette and family...just last evening as part of my 90th Birthday we watched home movies the highlight being Larry and I running our boats
on Lake Erie and other fun places! We have actual footage of that great adventure where our boats and my water skis were used in an episode of Route 66 with George Maharis & Marty Milner! We were all so young and good lookin!!

Our reminiscing lead to us Googling to find you guys to say we were thinking about you, remembering our...

Love you Dad.
