I just learned about Larry’s passing and am so very saddened by the news. I was Larry’s hospice nurse through the summer. I always enjoyed my visits to see both he and Christine and Nancy too. I looked forward to the wonderful stories of his life. They reflected courage, conviction, honesty, integrity and love. He truly was an amazing man and I feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to share some time with him and Christine too. With heartfelt condolences to all of you.

Larry & Chris were like parents to me & so many others! I was a carhop at his A&W on Clio & Pierson Rds in 1965 & 1966. I met my husband there & the father of my children! Prayers & Love for his entire family! Karen (Gellatly) Plamondon

The A&W was my first job in 1965. Larry was like a father to me. He even picked me up and brought me to work one time. He was a joy to work with. John and I thought the world of him. We are sending thoughts to Chris and the family. Love Laurie (Ptaszenski) Evanish and John.

I worked for Larry at A/W in 1974. My mother had cancer, and I found out unexpectedly that she was going to die. I went to work and was kinda in shock -started crying and his sweet, sweet wife took me in the back room and asked what was wrong. I told her and asked to go home. She said of course. She and Larry came to the funeral home when my mom passed even though I no longer worked there. I will never forget their love and kindness as long as I live. I am 64 now. This was my first job...
