Not sure what to say?

Ginny,Mark, family and friends of LR, My belated yet sincere condolences. LR was quite an inspirational man . I was a young "new hire" on the road crew at Denali National Park in the spring of 1976 when I first met Larry. He and his roommate Joe Krier were to become both mentors and friends to me in the seasons we shared together at Toklat. Your loss is shared by those here in Alaska.

I just learned of LR’s passing after being out of Alaska a few weeks. Mark, thank you for the letter. My condolences to you, Ginny and the rest of his family.

I have so many wonderful memories of LR. I first got to know him in the late 1970’s when I worked with him in Denali National Park. By 1980 we were both working out of Toklat, 53 miles into the wilderness. LR loved the park and especially Toklat. He had a boundless energy and enthusiasm for hiking and photographing...

Dear Parkers,

We are sorry to hear about Larry's passing. We imangine that he and Dad(Bud) are swapping all kinds stories. We sure enjoyed Larry's visits in Idaho. Thanks Mark for bringing Larry out. Our love and prayers for his family.

Thanks Doc for being such a good friend to my dad. I remember your fondness for not only hunting but your love of photography. Your visits to Idaho really brought joy to my dad and also to the rest of us. Lord bless all your family. We'll keep you in our prayers.

Well written Uncle Wil! I remember many of those things too, as you 3 were on the way to Austrailia, Wendy and I ran to LAX to catch you for 30 minutes. I remember the bear hugs, and all that footage of Bark Lake is right here with me today.
I tried to get LR to hike with me in the woods 20 years ago but he sid he was an "old geezer".

What a great man.

Just one of the L'il Shavers,

Lynne Parker-Taciak

Dear Uncle Lawrence,I'm so sorry you were so sick in your later years. For some one that was such an outdoor person and loved nature.Hope you find peace and happiness now .Your niece Pat(smith) Graham

Dear Uncle Lawrence,Thank you for all your help with our planning for Mom and Dad to go to Alaska that time. You were wounderful about them taking your truck and going traveling. Your Niece Peggy(Smith) Bowker.

Dear Larry, Thanks for always being there. I will always remember our trip to Alaska where Alice and I slept in your bed and you slept on the floor of the van. You showed us some of the country that you loved and will be your final resting place. A lifetime of memories flood back: our trip to Australia and New Zealand, fishing on Bark Lake in Canada with brother Carl where we ate Dinty Moore beef stew because the fish weren't biting. Thank you for being a wonderful brother. Rest in peace.

Dear Ginny, Doug, Mark and Cindy...
Words alone cannot express our deep sympathy for your family at this time. We remember Larry as a kind and gentle man who walked into our lives for a short time but left a lasting impression. We are especially grateful for the love and caring he showed to Rachel and Kyle.
God be with you in your sorrow.
