Not sure what to say?

Larry was better known to his close Pre-Med/ Biology majors at GVSU from 1967-71 as " Animal" an affecunate moniker given because he was in charge of the Biology/Physiology lab animal room which required daily tending under the watchful eye of Dr Marcia Boyles. Larry took that responsibility as he did all things with personal dedication and love. We were a tight group of pioneers in the early years, with great results leading nto 3 MD's 1 DO, 2 DDS's 1 OD not bad for the class of '67 truly...

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

Larry was such a great physician to work with. He treated both staff and patients with a kindness while working in a difficult field of medicine. It was always good to see him when he was on the unit to see patients. God bless.

I worked for Dr Pawl (LEP to me) at his office for thirty years. He truly was more like a big brother to me and I will miss him dearly. To his family and friends, my deepest sympathy.

Peaceful Passage Arrangement

I heard about Larry all the time growing up. My dad and his dad worked together, and at the dinner table I remember always hearing the latest of what Larry was doing. I remember when he passed this or that exam, and when he got accepted into medical school. Never did I suspect that I would eventually go to medical school and later meet him as a senior oncologist in the community! We shared numerous stories and I enjoyed working with him at Reed City. He helped my son do a Civil War...

I have many fond memories from the 1970's and early 1980's at Butterworth, working with Larry, Brenda, and Linda. So much compassion, kindness, and fun! Larry truly made the world a better place. Sending love and hugs from Wisconsin.

To the family of Dr. Pawl,
My most sincere condolences and prayers to Dr. Pawls family. My Mom was a patient of Dr. Pawls back in 2012 and 2013. Dr. Pawl was a very loving and caring physician and treated everyone with the upmost respect. His demeanor was a gift that comforted everyone who walked into his office. He was a very special person who helped Mom through her treatment. I remember him very well. Your family, and this world, were extremely fortunate to have him be a part of our...
