He was one of the most patient, kindest men that I had the privilege of knowing. He would always spend time with all of us kids in the neighborhood, playing touch football or softball with us. I think, looking back, that he was a bigger kid than we were. He handled the responsibility of being a young father with grace and a strong sense of responsibility. I will always remember how he would always take time out of his day to play games with all the kids in the neighborhood .
