Not sure what to say?

I knew Larry as fellow Peace Corps Volunteer from the Solomon Islands. He was living in Auki on Malaita and I was in Honiara on Guadalcanal. We were both small business advisors. I always think of Larry when I pass an Abercrombie and Fitch store. He was the only person I have known that actually bought something from the original Abercrombie store chain when it carried serous hunting, fishing and safari gear. Larry had bought a pair of dark green canvas high top "jungle...

Oh Joanne, I am so sorry. Barb Hostutler

Thinking of the Piper family, especially Joanne, as they say their final goodbyes to Larry. Peace be with you all and may love surround and lift you during this difficult time.

Randy, Chuck, and family, please accept my condolences, sympathy, and prayers. From my years on Log Cabin Pt. and working at Piper Realty my memories of Larry are truly memorable. A fine man. An ambassador and mentor for community, friends, and family.

Dear Joanne and the Piper Family. I am sad to learn of Larry's death. He had an accomplished life leading by example. You are in my thoughts & prayers.

I grew up in Flint next door to the Piper Family and at Log Cabin Point in the summer. and was best friends with Robert Piper who was my age. After reading the beautifully written obituary I was pleased to learn about the meaningful life Larry had created for himself and others.

My heartfelt thoughts are with the Piper families.

Dear Joannemy prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time. May Larry Rest In Peace and God provide you with support and love. A fellow Kiwanian. Dan Cady

I have such fond memories of Larry when we were teammates on the swimming team at Flint Central, he a senior and I a scared sophomore. Many years later, our paths crossed again when he worked in the real estate appraisal business. I have had the privilege of knowing several members of the extended Piper/Siler clan. My sympathies go to all on the loss of a truly gentle community servant.

It's been years since I've bicycled with Larry but I recall enjoying his company immensely. So sorry to hear of his passing. Prayers.
