Not sure what to say?

Deepest condolences. Larry was the walking personification of the Village. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Tim & Chris - Please accept our sincerest condolences. You and your parents were great friends to our family, and your father's life will forever be an important part of the history of North Bennington. Jeff, Judy and Dorothy Crane

We send our sympathy to you all, but also celebrate a life that touched everyone who was fortunate enough to call North Bennington home and a gentleman who always took the "high road". He will be missed but also remembered by so many.

Just heard the sad news, but what a great life. Offering prayers for your family. Stay safe on the roads.
Eileen Clark Farley (Harry's sister)

Tim, Chris and family.

Dear cousins, please know that you are in my prayers. You lost a father, I lost an uncle and Vermont and the country lost a shining example of the Greatest Generation.
My memories of your dad are fond and deep. He regaled me/us with stories that brought laughter, thoughtfulness and a connection to times and places we can only imagine. North Bennington and the world is a better place because Larry Powers was there.

Mike Munson

I extend my condolences to Larry's family. I have fond memories of him and Bernice in North Bennington during the early 70's when we first met. His dedication to and love of North Bennington endures. May he rest in peace.

He was a quintessential treasure of a man and North Bennigton was blessed to have him, as we all were. He will be deeply missed. I am so glad that he was our LHD Man of the year so that some of his life and laughter will be preserved for future generations. My condolences to his family...RIP, Larry...with love Lisa Verschoor

In 2008 my home where his mother was born burnt to the ground...one of my first visitors was Lawrence and he gave me a signed copy of his book which contained events that happened in the house. What a great treasure to have to start a new home with. May you rest in Peace my friend.

Larry was a friend to all; I remember him well when I was a student at Bennington & later when my family moved to N. Bennington. He always had something to say! He will be missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to have known him. I am so sorry for your loss.
