Lawrence Charles Pritchard was born July 20, 1949 in Austin, Texas, the only child of Tom and Dot Pritchard. His early years were filled with barbeque and cookouts as is befitting for the Lone Star State. When Larry was eleven years old his family relocated to Amanda, Ohio-the home of his parents...

Not sure what to say?

1978 1982 lhhs, he was my favorite teacher and a helluva great educator and friend I hope to see you again pritch gg

I was a friend of Linda - Larry's wife - and enjoyed a lot of fun times with them. May they rest in peace.

We love you Pritch. The Duke may be gone but you will always be in our heart.

Larry Pritchard was my friend in high school and our early 20's. We had many adventures as we tried to figure out life. We renewed our friendship at the first night of Larry's 50th high school reunion. I just discovered Dr. Pritchard's obit and Im shocked and saddened. It's hard to imagine him gone; he was such a big, inspiring personality.
Pritch was my favorite teacher at Lake Howell High (Class of 81). He was so enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and for world history.
He was so present, relevent, dedicated.
His fellow teachers, school admin and students had the highest respect and admiration for him.
He was impactful!
No one could wear a button...

Without a doubt, hands down, the best teacher I had! He made learning fun! I had him for World History and World Geography and was actually excited for class. From the infamous stories, historical movies, fun study sessions/playing games to review before a test and just plain good ole teaching, he was amazing. His love for Ohio State was evident, but his love for his students, even more. You touched so many lives, and made this world a better place. Thank you and Rest in Peace.

To a wonderful friend and hunting buddy. I will miss your great stories and spending time with you. You will truly be missed, rest in peace my friend.

My favorite teacher ever, he inspired me to do the same. I taught Social Studies, including World History and Economics but not with the charisma that Pritch had. I used to say that everything I knew about history, I learned from Charlton Heston movies, no doubt his favorite. One time, a couple of us found his home address and knocked on his door at home. We had a good laugh. He always had his signature blue oxford button down on and occasionally forget to take out the cardboard insert in the...
