Around the end of the 1950s, Larry did much to mobilize the residents of Bellwood to drive the crime syndicate out of Proviso Township.
We used the local Christian Family Movement units to do that.

All had tremendous respect for him. And we're all sorry to see him pass away. God love him and his family.

Dino and Lawrence went to school together in Melrose Park. We were sorry to hear of his passing. Dino & Raffaella Franc

I first met Larry when he came aboard as chief Counsel for the Local Loan Company along with Clarence Naborowski. He was always easy to talk with and had a wealth of knowledge about the consumer finance business. He will be sorely missed.

This is a gentleman that really contributed to mankind. I am very happy to have known him from years ago. We both went to Sacred Heart School in Melrose Park. Lawrence was in 8th grade when I was in 1st.
I can recall that when he was going to college, he had a summer job of working the gates for the Chicago & Northwestern railroad at the 19th Ave crossing. When I knew he would be working I would go visit him and he would let me raise and lower the gates, at that time they were...
