Not sure what to say?

We have all lost a wonderful, dear friend. And all of our lives have been so much richer for having known, worked, and volunteered alongside Larry. I will treasure our friendship and our times together.

Mr. Root was a beloved neighbor of ours (on Luan Circle) and is fondly remembered by the entire Butin family. Such a kind man. May his memory be a blessing.

I met Mr. Root in the Nursing Home. I would bring in my dog to see hie roommate. Then I would sit and hold his hand and tell him about the angels and that he would be healthy again. He would say. "I can't wait". Even while he was dying he would open his wyes and say Thank you for coming. He was so polite even though he was so ill. His hands were so warm. I wish that I would have known him before. But he is in a lovely place a no more pain. Good Bye Mr.Root Anonymous

I followed in Larry's professional footsteps for many years, from Rollway, to NHBB, and finally to SBB and learned more from him than I can even begin to list. But more lasting perhaps is the personal model he represented- as I heard it said once "Larry (was) the closest thing to a saint that any of us (were) likely to meet".

Larry Root was one of those people who have a lasting positive impact in your life. I met Larry when I was a very young engineer at Hughes Aircraft while Larry was working at SBB. It was our fate to work on several bearing projects which were the most difficult of our careers. Larry’s intellect was only part of the keys to the success of those projects. Larry had an ability to knock down barriers by being an example of kindness and generosity. No one could refuse this gentleman. It would be...

Larry was an enormous asset to Lebanon and a really nice man, I am so glad his career brought him here and he decided to stay.

Remembering with fondness the days when Larry was a frequent caller at our home wooing one Pass sister or another. A good man!- Ruth Pass Hancock

Larry was the most generous person I ever met. He gave to organizations but also of himself. Our prayers are with him and his family.

I came to know Larry Root because he worked with my dad, Paul Mason, at SBB. He was such a kind man. No matter where we met he always remembered me and asked about my parents.

In some way he touched each member of my family's lives that we will always remember.

His friendship for my dad especially, will be greatly missed.

I know I speak for my whole family when I say; Thanks for the great pleasaure of knowing you. Your quiet, kindness will be missed. ...
