On March 10, 2023, Dr. Lawrence A. R. Ross of Los Gatos, California peacefully passed away after a brief illness. The love of his life, for every moment of every day for almost sixty-nine years of marriage, Ruth Ross, was by his side. Devotion to his wife and his family defined his life. In...

Not sure what to say?

A San Jose psychiatrist named Dr. Ross was on IBM´s consultant list in 1973 when I (a young IBM employee) ran into some psychological problems and needed help. The Dr. Ross I´m talking about helped me a great deal. I don´t THINK that Lawrence was the man, unless he changed a great deal in appearance over the ensuing 50 years. But I´m hoping that someone in his family might be able to suggest who "my" Dr. Ross was. I am grateful.

You will always be missed as the best Pediatric Doctor ever and a family friend.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

My Papa was my hero. He was a healer and a lover. He taught me so much about life and family. I cherish every moment I had with you Papa. I miss you everyday and wish I could spend one more afternoon together. All my love, Sara Ross

Here it is early September and I have only become aware of the passing of Dr. Ross. For some reason, he and his wife came into my mind a couple of days ago and I decided to look him up on-line. In the 1990's, I had the pleasure of housesitting for Dr. and Mrs. Ross when they went on vacations, staying in their lovely home in Los Gatos. When I moved to Portland, Oregon in 1997, Dr. Ross suggested to Dr. Semler, who was in need of help in the front office, that I could be considered. I got...

Dr. Ross was my three children´s doctor. During my first pregnancy (1974) I was being seen by his brother Neal and Dr. Neal Ross asked if I had a pediatrician. Well the rest is history. All three of my kids were seen by Dr. Ross. I have two granddaughters and to this day this day, I would say to my son, Dr. Ross would say.... Dr. Ross say to tilt the head down when the baby has a cough, Dr. Ross said, don´t bundle up the baby when they have a fever only wear underwear. And the list...

My deepest condolences to the Ross Family. I was a patient of Dr.Ross at RAMBLC in the 70s, 80s and 90s. I have nothing but fond memories and was always thankful he was my doctor -- so much that when I was 18, he told me it was time to see a doctor more suited for my age. :-) Dr. Ross always looked forward to my moms cookies during the holidays. It would become a tradition that she carried on even after I was no longer his patient and he had a small practice in Campbell. Dr. Ross practiced...

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Ross passing. He cared for my two children almost into adulthood. I think they were the oldest "kids" in his waiting room. They simply did not want to give him up as their doctor. Every Christmas holiday, I would take fresh baked cookies to him. I remember Dr. Alarie stopping me in the hall one day and telling me, "You know Dr. Ross is Jewish and he is not going to eat those Santa Claus cookies." I told him, he eats them every year as I smiled. I told Dr. Ross...

Dr.Ross was my children´s Doctor for years. They were probably the oldest young adults sitting in his waiting room because they didn´t want to give him off as a doctor. I baked cookies for him and his family every Christmas holiday and continued to take cookies to him when he opened his private practice in Campbell, helping children. I lost contact with him several years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
