LAWRENCE E. 'Larry' ROWE ~~ WAS EVERYBODY'S FRIEND Mr. Rowe, age 79, died on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit, Michigan. He was born on October 10, 1930 in Highland Park, Michigan, to William Christopher and Katherine Rowe. He had been a resident of Troy, Michigan for 22 years. Education: Larry graduated from Highland Park High School Occupation: He was a dedicated firefighter, serving in Royal Oak, Michigan for 24 years, and in Highland Park for 7 years. Mr. Rowe also was a salesman for National Ladder & Scaffold, and was a barber in Royal Oak and Center Line, Michigan. He was a longtime member of Western Golf & Country Club in Redford, Michigan, and he enjoyed playing cards. Mr. Rowe will be remembered as a friend to everyone, and as a good conversationalist. Military: He proudly served in the U.S. Army Surviving Wife: Beverly (nee: McMasters) Rowe. They married in Royal Oak in 1986. Surviving Son: Larry (Julie) Grandchildren: Lawrence, Gabriela, and Jessica Surviving Step-children: Arthur Spring (Connie), Teresa Krings (Kevin), and Michael Spring (Stephanie) Surviving Step-grandchildren: Chelsea, Cory, and Michael, Jr. Surviving Sister: Jean Gray (Ed) Surviving Brother: Gordon Powell (Maryann) Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by his sister, the late Joyce Ripstra, and by his brother, the late Jack Rowe Visitation: Sunday, February 21, 2010, from 3-7 PM at A.
