Not sure what to say?

Just found out that Larry passed away. I graduated from St Dominic,s high school in 1959. Like Larry , I joined the navy that summer. Did not know that he went in as well.

We were not close but I was fascinated on his artistic ability to draw a navy ship quickly and accurately. He would have appreciated the plastic model ships I have built siince I retired. He is in my prayers.

I am saddened to know that Larry past. He was my boss on the Intepid Museum. He gave me my first opportunity in becoming a secretary and helped prepared me for my future in working in cooperate America. I will miss him very much. My love and condolences to his family. He will be missed ❤

My sympathy and condolences to the Sowinski family. I knew Larry when I first started to volunteer on the USS Slater in 1993. Then moved to the USS Edson when Slater left for Albany and I'm still volunteering at the Intrepid. I remember his family pushed little Zachary at the museum.May he rest in peace. God Bless.

I posted a picture of USS SLATER in Albany, NY. Larry played a major role in saving the ship, as he gave her a home at the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum when the ship was brought back from Greece in 1993. The restored ship will serve as a legacy to Larry's commitment to history.
