Not sure what to say?

Larry was a tremendous support to me a fellow psychiatrist in San Antonio. Always kind, modest, friendly, accepting, genuinely concerned. So accomplished and dear to his extended family and colleagues. There is a special place in Heaven for this fine man and gentle human being. I do miss him but hope to see him again later.

My sincere condolences to the entire Stone family in their loss of a truly great man! I worked at Laurel Ridge in the late 80s, and became friends with "the boss´s kid" David, which led me (and my dad!) to enjoy many happy days at "the big ranch". What a beautiful tribute to a much-loved individual. Read with my mother, Earlene Smith, who to this day and despite dementia, recounts stories about camping trips and ranch visits with Larry and Marnette. (Some of which are not approved for all audiences!) I believe Larry was the best friend my father ever had - which is probably true for many people and a testament to his character. Our sympathies to Marnette and family. Love, Earlene Smith and Portia Smith Varsam

John Backman sends sympathy and condolences to Marnette

I remember Dr. Larry from Robstown Hospital. He always had a smile on his face! He took care of my husband & I when we were in car accident. He was a wonderful Dr & I will never forget him. Prayers & Love for a wonderful man.

When I think of Larry, I always see his smile, his wit, his warmth, his ability to make all who knew him feel loved and welcome, and of him with his beloved Marnette and his family. We feel lucky to have known him.
