Lawrence A. Torrence

Mr. Lawrence A. Torrence, age 80, departed this life on September 13, 2015, at St. Francis Compassionate Care Hospice. He was the beloved husband of Mary D. Torrence; father of Donna Bates (Edward); brother of Beaulah Babbs, Joyce Warren, Edward Torrence (Maryanne) and Edith Jackson. He is also survived by 2 grandsons, Torrence Bates and Darryl Bates (Natalie); 1 granddaughter, Darreisha Bates; 2 great-grandsons, William Bates and Anthony Bates; other family and friends. Celebration of Life Service will be 11am Tuesday, September 22nd at Shiloh Baptist Church, 23rd & Washington Streets, Wilmington, DE 19802, where viewing will be from 8:30-10:00 only. There will be a Masonic Service starting at 10. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, Delaware.
