Not sure what to say?

IMy dad, H. Van Siegman, an award winning landscape architect from Lafayette, CA landscaped all of Lawton's model homes with Mackey. I will never forget my summer with Bill, Jeff, and Lynda at their unique Echo Lake cabin, where they took the time to teach me to water ski behind their beautiful wooden speedboat. Anneke, Caolifhionne and I will always treasure the time we spent in the little red house. You and Lawton epitomized graciousness and love of nature. We will always be grateful for the opportunity to share the ranch life.

We will never forget you, Lawton (or those glorious ducks).

Keith and Caolifhionne Mears, Petaluma, CA

Lawton had a lightning fastball. Shurtleff was a revered name by the de Miguels. Big hug to all the family.

30 years ago I staid one weekend at the ranch with Anneke and Lawton and I have never forgotten it. Lawton took me for a ride and it was wonderful. We passed the red house and Lawton said that whenever I get married I could stay at the red house. Today I'm almost 50 and never married, so there was never a chance to accept his offer, regretfully. We had never met and we haven't ever met since, but I'll never forgot the hospitallity of Anneke and Lawton. My best to his family.
Lawton, R.I.P.

To Lawton's family,

I had the good fortune to work closely with Lawton in 1995-96 on his duck book. Lots of "backs and forths" over the design and placement of everything! But he always made me laugh. He had a passion for the ducks, and I know for his family as well. He took us on a ride through the ranch, looking at the nests. It was wonderful to see these in real life, where only pictures were before. I will miss him, his energy and commitment.
My best to Anneke and all.
