Leaf Roberts

Our heartfelt sympathy to all of Leaf's family and her many friends. She was an amazing vivacious individual. Our family had the opportunity to get to know her through our visits to Ukraine in 2000 and 2006. She was a strong leader and organizer and yet was able to listen to others' perspective and brought people together to work for peace. I miss her already. Leaf was amazingly implicated in the culture and friendship of Sebastopol, CA as long as she lived there! A sweet, smiling and ever present helper at the United Methodist church across from Safeway, she and Willy had the best old fashioned cars during my youth, that were brimming with kids and teens. My half sister, Leaf Roberts died October 20th. She was the daughter of my father from his first marriage. We never lived together, and I only met her as an adult, but she was a presence in my life as I grew up, as there were conversations about child support and considerations of visits, although it didnt happen.
