Leah Bee Smallwood, age 9, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Joani Bush; and great-grandfather, Thomas Bush.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
She is survived by her loving parents, Michael and Kaky Syvilayvong Smallwood; brothers and sister, Kolin, Kyle and Kayla Wilson all of Murfreesboro; along with her grandparents, Mike and Tina Smallwood, Mike and Nancy Baldwin; and Orady Syvilayvong; great-grandparents, Robert and Joyce Smallwood; many uncles; aunts; cousins; and many loving friends.
Leah was a spunky girl wifth a big smile and even bigger personality who brought joy to all who met her.
She loved to play baseball, soccer, ride horses and dance. She also loved to play with all of her friends and cousins.
Leah never used cancer as an excuse to not live her life to the fullest. She entertained her friends in the hospital as well as the nurses and staff. She liked to be in charge!
Leah has had a huge impact on the entire community and through her courage and strength taught those around her to fight and never give up!

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
