Leah Levy Whitehead

       Mrs. Leah Levy Whitehead age 80 of Pine Lake Rd. Hiawassee, GA. passed away on Tuesday February 28, 2023 in the Chatuge Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Whitehead was born on August 15, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH., the daughter of the late Lawrence Levy and the late Phillis Noll Levy. Mrs. Whitehead was a school teacher and had taught in the Pinellas School system for over twenty five years and many other surrounding schools. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Mrs. Whitehead was of the Jewish faith.

   Surviving Mrs. Whitehead are one son and daughter in law, Michael and Paula Whitehead of Hiawassee, her two adored grandchildren, Zachary and Hannah, many other relatives and friends also survive.

   As per Mrs. Whitehead’s wishes, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers if you wish, she asked that donations may be made to the Towns Union Humane Society Mtn. Shelter in her memory.

   Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
