Not sure what to say?

Dot and Family: I had the opportunity to work with Lee when employed at the Summit County Prosecutor's Office. He was one amazing, generous, knowledgeable and kind man and the stories he would tell ... many of them left you laughing so hard. He was always available when I needed a ride to juvenile court to file appellate documents or if you needed to find a document or information, he knew exactly where to look or find the info. I learned a lot from him. I will always remember his smile...

Lee worked many years with our father, Jim Craig and later We both had the privlige to work with him. He was a wonderful Officer and a Gentleman. His smile and wit are missed. Now he will wearing a bow tie in Heaven and making the angels smile. God bless and keep you all.

To the family of Leander:
Lee was one of the hardest working cops I have ever known. He retired and went on to a second career at the SCPO. I worked with him as a cop and when he was with the prosecutor. He will always be remembered as a great cop and family man. He will be having roll call soon with my Dad and the many other great ol timers from APD. Godspeed Lee.

Dear Dot & Family:
I had the pleasure of working with Lee at the Prosecutor's Office. (I was the one that you and Lee got the stuffed beanie dove for). What truly amazed me about Lee was his keen insight and knowledge. If he didn't know the answer, he knew who to go to get it and he would get it fast. He would tell alot of stories but the one I remember most was his battle with a knee brace one day and the things he would do to try to keep it from sliding down his leg...we laughed so...

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.

Lee and I served together on the APD and several years in the County Prosecutors Office,Lee was a great friend and a great investigator,we have lost a treasure.

Our deepest sympathy for you and your family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mattes Family: My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of working with Lee at the Prosecutor's Office. He was such a sweet man, always willing to help. We loved hearing his stories, no one could tell them like Lee. He will be greatly missed!!

I will miss hearing Lee's stories about the old days in the Akron Police Department. He was always a pleasure to see in our office at APD. My condolences to Mrs. Mattes and your family. Lee will be missed.
