Thinking of Leatha today. Such a sweet spirit. I can´t believe you´ve been gone for 8 years.

Lee was an exceptional human being. Kind and funny, and she gave great hugs! This family will be in my prayers.

I was so blessed to have known Lea the last 3 years. She was so full of joy, always laughing. What a beautiful, infectious laugh she had. She was also incredibly selfless, asking how I was or what I was up to. But when she did talk about herself, it was about her great friends, her amazing daughters and the time she would spend with them. Tilly and Claire, she loved you both so much. She was also so smart. I too knew Leatha from Lincoln Elementary. While I haven't seen her in decades, each year on January 5th, I've said to myself, "today is Leatha Davenport's birthday" (because mine is the next day). After all these years, I probably always will. May she rest in love, light, and peace.

Leatha was one of my first childhood friends at Lincoln School in Cedar Falls. My heart is heavy with sadness...my sincere condolences.
