Not sure what to say?

Our family is going to miss Dad´s encouragement, his interest in the details of our lives, and the wisdom and guidance he carefully offered, always rooted in God´s love and truth and his own uncompromising faith. We will miss how Dad valued time with the family, making sure that he did all he could to include each family member at reunions, sharing frequent flyer miles so that everybody could attend. We will miss the bowling games (when he modestly held top score) and the conversations...

My sincere condolences to the Baas family in the passing of Lee, a husband, father and grandfather from this life to his eternal home. He was a great colleague when in Nigeria and went on to serve His Lord throughout the world. May you experience God's comfort and peace.

Grandpa lived for more than himself. All the way until the end, he was finding ways to encourage people, from missionaries and pastors across the world to the nurses he interacted with in the hospital. He had the gift of listening and the experience to offer godly wisdom, and I would always consult grandpa before making larger life decisions. He was a champion for education and an example of a lifelong learner himself. During the celebration of life service, Grandpa responded to people´s...

Lee holds a special place in my life as he helped me make a transition to "missionary member care" from my full time clinical psychology practice. Through 3, 2-3 week trips to Nigeria, and then a "vision trip" to Chiang Mai, Thailand, he helped me achieve a life-long goal to be involved in full-time missionary care work. My wife, Jan, and I would not trade the experience of living in Chiang Mai for anything. They remain some of the most significant years of our life. Thank you Lee (and...

Lee and Carolyn were our neighbours and colleagues for some years in both Wukari and Jos, Nigeria. Very helpful and friendly neighbours for one who had two left hands at best. We remember especially how he playfully introduced our kids to the early version of that amazing machine called "calculator"! I appreciate his premortal celebration of life, a thought that has long occurred to me as well. We wish our condolences to the entire family, but especially to Carolyn, whom we likewise...

When we think of Lee we think of the many times he encouraged us in our work among the Tiv. We especially remember how he urged us on to move from teaching at the RTCN to searching for and establishing a new work among the Ava'di (Kambari) in Niger State.

I'll miss my brother. My deepest sympathy to Carolyn and his children.
