Not sure what to say?

My family has known Lee and his family very well for the past 20 years at least. My husband built his house, we have been neighbors and have shared the same jogging trail he built through a 10 acre tract. Many an evening meal has been shared here with the three of us. I feel his 3 sons are also of our family and hope to hear from them from time to time. Miss him so!

We can´t say in words how much Lee meant to our family. He was also well known to my children. When they visited, everyone looked for to see him at the table and/or at his house next door (not that we could each others houses. We lived in the woods and had fairly, long driveways. Now it seems like I missed a certain part of my day. That void is so obvious and I don´t like dealing with it everyday. What a gentle, creative soul!

Lee was my friend´s therapist at The Children´s Center. She told me about him and showed me his obituary. Her name is Sarah Dempsey, and she is 72. She wants to attend his service the first weekend in June. If it is open to the public, would you please let me know the details so I can take her. What a fine man he must have been.

I did my clinicals at Gatewood Education Center and met Lee and his wife, Charlotte. Both were great people and dedicated to their work. I was blessed to have known them both.

Lee Beatty, was a great man. I was at Gateway School

Derek, Brian and George, as you well know, your Daddy was truly one of the very best. I am so blessed that I knew your Mama and Daddy. Their love and compassion was shared with our children, their families and the staff at Gateway. Your Dad and I loved to talk "farming ". I learned so many lessons of life by just being with them. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you. If I lived closer now, would bring you a pizza and beer like Kelly and I did when your Mom passed away. Loved your folks.

Lee was such a blessing to so many children as well as to us therapists who cherished him as a colleague. He was so gentle, compassionate and dedicated, just a wonderful and loving man. My condolences to all the family.

I enjoyed meeting and working with Lee at the Second Harvest Food Bank. Dotty would bring him with her on the days she came. Sad that COVID stopped us from continuing those good times. Prayers of comfort and strength to his family and friends.

Semper Fi Marine. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. R.I.P.
