Not sure what to say?

Dear Chip, Diane & Leslie, You had a wonderful father and friend. I to will miss him very much as all who had an opportunity to meet him. He showed the world that a positive additude could overcome a handicap and brighten the day. Uncle Don

Dear Chip, Diane and Leslie:
Your parents were both a raw blast of vitality, authenticity and passion, and to be with them, sharing a glass of wine or not, I (and I'm hardly alone on this) always felt an immediate sense of deep, personal connection. And yes, an abiding sense of good old-fashioned cynical fun. The years I spent at Cheekwood while Joan was there with Kevin & Co. were some of the best, unforgettable years of my life. Thanks Joan & Lee for all you did and all you...

Chip: I am verklempt reading the last couple of sentences of this. What a positive person! I am so sorry for your loss.

Evenings with Lee and Joan always involved nonstop, intelligent conversation, plenty of good food, and frequent bursts of hilarity. I never got to work with Lee, but he always had good sound advice and a natural mentor's attitude towards a kid who was never going to make him a cent. I love and miss his cutting wit, his appreciation of reality, and his (and Joan's) abiding hatred of intolerance, ignorance and snobbery. Dear man, I wish we could talk again, more than I could possibly say.

No one but Lee could have written that obituary! What a treat to read - just like all his delightful writings - and such a reflection of who he was. Damn, I'm going
to miss that and him. I love it that he loved life right up to the end of it (and who knows what's beyond). Thank you, Lee and au revoir. What a great gift your were to all who knew you. Patti

Hello from JOY,
Your write up about Lee is wonderfully descriptive. He was such a super gentleman and I am happy to have met him and get to know him at least a little bit.
It was a delight when Lee entered our building and he and I had the opportunity to have a short upbeat chat while he waited to be be whisked off to a meeting.
It is surprising to me how much can be revealed about each of us, even in those times of short conversations.
Yes, Lee had the gift of gab,...

Shalll miss our chats. Thank you for La Famiglia, Cirillo.

Dear Chip, We've just heard about your dad and we are
deeply sad by this news. Lee was so fortunate to have a son so devoted and attentive as you. We always admired him and loved both him and your wonderful mom. Our thoughts are with you, Leslie and Diane at this time.
Love, Bob and Carol Mode
