Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the Gibbs family on the passing of Lee. As a former member of Christ Episcopal church in Shaker Heights, I remember him as a scholar with a sense of humor- the best kind!

Last time when I met Lee was some 60 yeas ago at Harverd. When I left then I did not said"good by" I said "see you soon" Wen I reconnect over the phone 2 month ago. I did not said " good by" Lee has been in my mind during past 60 years, so the ward"good by"never existed. Paul Maruoka-old room mate at Macalester amd friend forever-Tokyo Japan. See you soon!

As much as we knew this day was coming, it is never easy news and shocking to grasp the finality and reality of this time. I'm so glad that we had the opportunity to reconnect albeit over phone lines. I always enjoyed our conversations, sometimes deep and sometimes casual whether in person or on our CSU radio program. I don't believe that we ever disagreed but I do know that I learned much about my faith and about God. Lee is where he wanted to be now, in the arms of the Lord.

I write on behalf of Cleveland State University to express condolences on the passing of Dr. Gibbs, who will be long remembered with gratitude here at CSU for his dedication to the University and his selfless generosity in guiding, teaching and mentoring students.

Thank you for all you did to help so many people !

The Davidson family sends their love and deepest condolences. We will always be thankful for his kind heart, his intellect and smile.
