LEE CHARLES LUDWIG, 49, of New York, vice president of international investment management for Fiduciary Trust International, got a call from his father-in-law after a hijacked airliner hit Tower 1. "I said, 'What are you still doing in there? Get out of the building,'" Charles Timpone recalled. "He said, 'They aren't letting anyone go yet. Dad, you don't understand what I'm seeing. I'm watching people jumping out of windows.'" Timpone said Ludwig later called to say he expected to get out of the building. He asked his father-in-law to tell his wife he was OK. "I couldn't have chosen a better man for my daughter if I had picked him out myself," Timpone said.

Its so hard to believe that so many years have passed although Lee has always remained in my thoughts and prayers. We worked together although on separate coasts, we spoke on a daily basis. He shared family moments, track meets and his infectious laugh that I remember to this day. I did not have children at that time although I was pregnant with my daughter at the time. She is now 13 and over the years I have shared memories about 9/11 and Lee with her. She recently traveled to NY with...

I know she is gonna be ok but she truly misses you now more than ever because your not next to her watching all these amazing events in her life. Also you are a great uncle to my daughter...

Lee's name came to me today. I was thinking about all the people on the 90th floor I personally knew that died. I only worked at Fiduciary for 18 months before 9/11 I was a recent college graduate out of SUNY Cortland. I use to price Lee's accounts for custody. Lee always had a dynamite smile. He was friendly and nice and always said hello to me on the elevator ride. I remember meeting him and his son in the summer of 2001 he introduced me to him. I thought wow that is great an...

10 years after the attack and you are the one person who I always think about during this time. I went to school with your son and ran track with him. If he is any indication of who you were, you did a great job...god bless you...
