Frank was one of the first teachers we met when we moved to Oregon CIty in 1974, where I was going to start my teaching career. Friendly, outgoing, community minded (via the Elks), a bowler (I ended up bowling on his team for a few years), and just a good friend. Some of their kids became our babysitters when our kids were younger. He also taught both our boys at Gardiner Jr High.
