After graduating from Stanford in 1966 I moved into a home in Los Trancos Woods, a few blocks from Lee. What a fortuitous meeting! Lee was to deeply influence my life, teaching me new ways to look at the world and how we relate to each other. I remember him saying: "If I cannot have empathy for a four year old boy without enough to eat that day, a boy I don't know, living 3,000 miles away, then something's wrong Rick!
