Lee Swenson

Hard to believe that Lee is gone, He was a wonderful man. I think of him often..

After graduating from Stanford in 1966 I moved into a home in Los Trancos Woods, a few blocks from Lee. What a fortuitous meeting! Lee was to deeply influence my life, teaching me new ways to look at the world and how we relate to each other. I remember him saying: "If I cannot have empathy for a four year old boy without enough to eat that day, a boy I don't know, living 3,000 miles away, then something's wrong Rick! And what a bounty, at the same time, to become good friends with David...

Lee's life is one worthy of celebration. He was an inspiration to those of us looking for a path to non-cooperation with the machinery of war and a leader in the global resistance movement. Let's cherish his memory and his work . . .

Lee, one of those great people I never saw enough of. But when I did, it was a great pleasure. RIP my friend.
