Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Velardi, You are in my daily prayers. My life was changed when you became my Italian teacher and mentor. Thank you. May you be with the angels.

Mrs. Velardi was my mentor in life. She showed me true love as her student and friend. She lives on as I enjoy the friendship with her daughter, Gina.

Mrs. Velardi was an inspiration to me. She formed the teacher in me. From a young age, teaching was my passion. It was her example that showed me how to engage students in the subject matter. Grammar can be dry but she made it fun and alive. I will always feel blessed to have known her and to have become a lifelong friend.

Mrs. Velardi was by far the best and most inspirational professor I had in my university education. It was my fortune to be in her first Italian class offered at CSUN. She became my model and example for what I would pursue in life, that is, to be a teacher of Italian. Mrs Velardi was a professor at CSUN when I took Spanish. She was an inspiration and wonderful teacher. I am saddened to learn of her passing. My sympathy to her family, Mr Velardi, Gina and Michael.

We are so sorry for your loss...Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you all during this difficult time. God Bless. The MacNutt Family

She was a hard teacher -- 94% for an "A." I figured I would either get a C and quit Spanish or get an A and continue. I got the A and went on to major in Spanish. Later, I became an Adult ESL teacher, helping Spanish-speaking students using the Spanish that I learned from Lee Velardi. The last time...

I came to Vqlley College after Lee retired. I did meet her and have fond memories of her. She was very vivacious and lots of fun. I often wished that I had been her colleague. My deepest condolences to the family. We will remember her always at our department.
